Sprint to launch EV-DO Rev A cards
Sprint will be launching a couple of Revision A EV-DO network cards before the year is over, and consumers will be faced with the choice between the Pantech PX-500 and the Sierra Wireless Aircard 595. The former will retail for $200 or is available for free with a 2-year commitment, while the latter is priced at $250 or $100 with a 2-year commitment. Most notebook owners will be happy to know that both are PCMCIA cards, as newer notebooks support only the ExpressCard format. You might wonder what advantage the Sierra Wireless Aircard 595 has over the Pantech PX-500 - the $50 will net you a hardy, built-in high performance antenna. Upgrade your mobile surfing experience by picking up either card when they are released.
