Synchronica Scream thwarts thieves

What better way to attract attention when somebody comes by and tries to snatch your precious cellphone away? Synchronica is offering the Mobile Manager service that remotely locks and erases all data from your cellphone the moment you call in and lodge a missing report. In addition, it will also activate the Synchronica Scream feature at your request, unleashing a banshee-wail to annoy the thief until he turns it off. In the meantime, the thief will be unable to access other aspects of the phone such as the phone book, calendar, and music. Pretty neat idea, as it renders the phone useless even in the second hand market. Who would want to buy a banshee-possessed cellphone?

This sounds like a great idea. Until you accidentially hit the button yourself and BOOM bye bye phone. I suppose they'd have to install a back-up safety net that allows you to stop the process or reverse the process with the right password.
