Cloak of invisibility

Posted on: October 19, 2006

Cloak of invisibility
American and British researchers have managed to develop an invisibility cloak, although there is still a long way to go in ironing out the glitches. This cloak was pretty good when it comes to hiding a copper cylinder, and cannot be detected by microwaves - the very same method radars use to detect objects. This engineering challenge is a monumental one, but should the scientists be able to get their act together, you can be sure that the military will come knocking on their door almost immediately. What was once the domain of imagination is now a reality, albeit an imperfect one for the moment.
