Combimouse prototype offers alternative
Published on 10/ 4/2006

Remember the Microsoft Natural keyboard many years back? If you think that that piece of ergonomic hardware looked and operated in a weird manner, think again. The Combimouse consists of two units - the left unit is stationary and works like the standard QWERTY keyboard, while the right unit possesses a mass, center of gravity, and grip which is equal to that of a standard mouse. You move the right unit like a mouse when needed, and stop to type whenever required. The Combimouse is a prototype device that has undergone usability testing by Wichita State University, and the developers are currently looking for investors to pump in the money in order to manufacture it. Pretty wild idea, don't you think? Well, at least you can't break your keyboard in two when you're hopping mad now as its already broken.
