Dell unveils affordable 20-inch LCD
Those who are still stuck with fat, chunky CRTs have not yet upgraded to slim and sexy LCD monitors mainly due to the cost involved - a large LCD display could cause a huge dent in your bank account. Dell is not only famous for its exploding batteries, but they do make some pretty sweet LCD monitors as well. Those who are looking for at least a 19" LCD display at an affordable price can now rejoice as Dell unveils the E207WFP. This 20-incher comes with a pretty fast response time of 5ms (though not fast enough for FPS games) at a low, low price of $289. If there ever was a convenient time (and excuse) to chuck out the CRT, this is it. Remember, opportunity knocks but once.

5ms is fine for FPS games. Fine period, for any games.

Squirrel: You can run 1680x1050 on this monitor. Your 19" (I'd imagine) can only run 1280x1024. Those extra pixels can make a big difference ^_^

are you kidding? I'm typing this on a 19" Acer LCD monitor with 700:1 contrast and 8ms response time. I paid $189 with shipping for it.
could you explain how this is a deal? is it the 5ms that is worth the extra 100 bucks? 8ms is fast enough for any game I play, no streaks or blurring.
is it the widescreen? that would probably be worth a few extra bones, but not that much
