D-Link unveils V-Click dual-mode phone
Oct 3, 06 07:45 PM PDT

The D-Link V-Click dual mode phone is somewhat akin to smartphones that come with WiFi connectivity. This tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) handset does not concentrate much on a bunch of business software but concentrates more on the phone aspect. A single click of a button will switch the V-Click cellphone between cellular and WiFi networks, enabling the user to take full advantage of VoIP software at WiFi hotspots in order to cut down on the monthly phone bills. D-Link has even thrown in an Opera Mobile web browser for you to surf the Internet via WiFi, but the tiny screen is a stumbling block. D-Link expects to roll out the V-Link sometime in Q1 next year.
