You've actually got it wrong. The Hookup has a transmitter which transmits to the REMOTE. You plug your own headphones into the remote, and stow your iPod in your backpack, briefcase, gymbag, whatever. Then this credit card device controls your iPod.
Then, if you get a call on your Bluetooth-enabled telephone, the press of a button pauses your music and your headphones become a wireless headset for your phone call. No more removing your headphones to answer that call. When the call is done, press a button to be returned to your music, right where you left off.
Next time read the press-release a little closer before slamming a product.

"We say ditch the iPod and HookUp combo and get a Bluetooth-enabled music cellphone instead." I'd like to, but I haven't found a cellphone with 30GB to 80GB of storage yet!
