iPod imitators come in gaudy colors

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, rest assured Apple won't be scaling giddy heights having their iPod nano being duplicated in such a demeaning manner. The purple Platinum 2.0 and pink-colored Neon MP4 player share the basic characteristics of an iPod clone - a 1.5" 65k color display, MP3, WMA, WAV, and ASF file format support, an integrated FM radio, and video playback capability. What was added (other than the gaudy colors) is a built-in speaker which the iPod lacked. Both the Platinum 2.0 and Neon MP4 weigh approximately 30 grams and costs $51.99 and $49.99 respectively. At this price level, you can pick one up for kids who are prone to breaking stuff easily.
