Logitech MX3200 keeps germs at bay

Other than elevator buttons and door handles, the keyboard and mouse could probably house an equal number of germs and bacteria when it comes to everyday objects. Working in an enclosed environment where air circulation is poor, the risk of catching a flu is exacerbated with having your co-workers working on your desktop the moment they relieve themselves in the toilet. Why not stem the tide with the new Logitech Cordless Desktop MX3200? This wireless keyboard and mouse combo are coated in a patented AgIon antimicrobial technology to keep the nasty stuff at bay, featuring programmable hot keys, dynamic search and zoom, a high performance laser mouse, as well as an integrated soft-touch palm rest. For $99, the Logitech MX3200 offers pretty good bang for your buck.

I just purchased the MX 3200 and my first impressions are very good. Although the packaging doesn't indicate Mac compatability, the system seems to work fine with my Powerbook. The touch of the keyboard is a little soft, but everything feels very ergonomic and responsive. I do find that the range on the keyboard is a little weak, but the kit does include a USB extension kit. Of course, if you need to place the receiver right next to the keyboard, what's the use of having a wireless sytem?
With this minor exception, the system seems like a solid bargain, and so far, I'm quite happy with the purchase.
