Monitors can now go wireless

Nearly everything has gone wireless these days, but the monitor is still stuck fast to your CPU via a cable. All that will change in the blink of an eye with the WID101 from Teq Gear. This wireless XGA receiver is connected to a DVI port on your PC and transmits compressed video data over an encrypted wireless network within a range of 250 feet. There are three transmission modes available - wireless 802.11 g/a/b, a wired network, or via the local DVI port. You can even link up multiple PCs to a single receiver if the need arises. The WID101 works great in settings like classrooms, auditoriums, and museums as it eliminates the problem of lengthy cables. The WID101 retails for $995 and is capable of WXGA resolutions (1366 x 768).
