MPIO FY800 arrives in Japan
Looks like Japanese hands will finally be able to get their fingers wrapped around the sleek and beautiful MPIO FY800 digital audio player. The MPIO FY800 targets those who do not carry a whole lot of music with them on long road trips, but instead are casual listeners. Supported formats include the usual suspects - MP3, WMA, and WMA DRM10. In case you get bored of what 1GB of storage space can offer you, there is always the integrated FM tuner to save the day. The nano-sque MPIO FY800 measures 77.7mm x 3.7mm x 9.85m and weighs a featherlight 35g. Check out the "Digital Cool" song that's currently playing.

Not a bad MP3 player if you toss the crappy headphones you get with the FY800. The great thing about this unit is that you can use your own SD cards with it. I have SD card for my camera which I use and you pretty much have to use you own cards because the built in memory is sooooo slow that is takes about 15 minutes to fill the 1MB player with songs. A good 2MB SD card will fill in less than 2 minutes. I have a feeling using the faster SD cards may reduce battery life but the run time is still OK.

Also, never try to format a SD card in the player, you will have very unpleasant results.

All and all a good player if you already have SD cards.
