RuBot II eats Rubik Cube for breakfast
Oct 16, 06 09:19 AM PDT
The RuBot II looks very much like a distant cousin of the T-800 in the Terminator series. This scary looking robot is capable of solving the Rubik cube, a puzzle game that still confounds a large segment of the population with it's intricacies. The RuBot II will use cameras in its eyes to scan the cube for a few seconds before using its menacing pneumatic arms to carry out the instructions based on Herbert Kociemba's solving algorithm, courtesy of the Cube Explorer software. It normally takes an average of 20 moves to solve a problem, and will not pass a minute in time no matter how complicated the cube is. Watch RuBot II in action here.
