Transmitter worked for a while with poor reception. Then it stopped working. Anyone know why? Can it be fixed?

I also just got one of these Belkin Zune transmitters from Newegg the other day(around $50). I had been waiting forever for this because I love the goose neck to support and see the Zune plus not having to plug into the headphone like some of the generic FM transmitters. Range is an issue. In downtown Dallas I am getting nothing but static and interferance. I guess it's range is to low and weak to broadcast in my Pilot even on stations not in use.

I received my new Belkin FM transmitter today. It does not work. Even on the channels that have absolutely no signal whatsoever the Zune broadcast has static. If I twist the transmitter around a bit every now and then it will come in clear, but only for a moment. I have tried stations across the entire FM band with the same results or worse. I have tried re-seating the Zune into the cradle with no improvement. After waiting several months to receive this transmitter it is a huge disappointment. Ipod transmitters don't seem to have this problem. My wife's ipod transmitter can be clearly received for more than a half of a block radius while stationed inside our house running off of a modified 12 volt adapter.

By The title Drops implies the opposite , 13/12/06 11:17 AM (CommentID #074107)

When you say something is "dropped" from a lineup, it means that it's taken out or away. When I saw the title I was confused and waiting for the spot that says "It was the intention to offer all these new addictions to the Zune but after careful consideration, blah blah, Belkin has changed it's mind and dropped the idea altogether.
