Brando carries MP4 watch
Brando is offering the MP4 watch that does not only tell the time, it features video playback as well. We first covered this exactly a month ago in our Anlong video watch piece. Apparently, a double check comparing the Anlong MP4 watch with Brando's offering reveals that both watches share the same strap and screen design save in different colors. At least Brando has shed more light on the specifications of the MP4 watch, citing a 65k color display in 128 x 128 pixels resolution, MP3, WMA, and MP4 format support, 1GB of internal memory, USB 2.0 connectivity for speedy data transfer, and voice recording capability. Pick up this multi-faceted watch for $98.

Well while the last reader obviously had some negative experiences TESTING the watch, I actually OWN one and I can tell you that its much better than he says. The video runs much faster than 15fps, and in most cases the same rate as an FLV file. The sound quality is perfectly fine and actually louder than many other MP3 players. Photos and video do have a slightly orange hue, but could theoretically be avoided by tinkering with the colours before loading them. No software is needed to be installed for pure MP3 listening and the battery life is awesome. Plus, the strap is quite cumfy. For $98 you really cant complain (also comes with a charger that doubles as a charger for any other USB charging device, e.g. my video ipod)

This one is a bit of a nightmare, Im fairly sure its not got anything to do with mp4... Its not jpg compatable, and the sound quality stinks even at 192kbps, theres alot of mp3 noise.
The screen is dull next to other oled devices, the colours well over saturated with an orange hue. Both video and pictures need to be converted into a special format to be viewed. the video is very poor, running at somewhere around 15fps, and the files are huge, a 30 second test file at the min quality came out at nearly 4 megs and at max 30mb (6megs bigger than the original mpeg2 dvd file)
The audio jack is 2.5mm,The strap is a bit on the small side and links cant be added.
Put next to the current only other multimedia watch (aigo UW-F029)which has full frame rate divx and xvid video a brighter higher res (although smaller) screen, native jpeg support and better sound plus ogg, its a poor second place, as the aigo has far better everything except battery life and looks....
