Cowon's latest mini portable media player is a joy to look at, with the words portable media player clearly emblazoned across on the side in case clueless folks out there think it is a mere digital audio player. Available in black, white, red, violet, and lime colors, the D2 PMP comes with 2.5" of viewing real estate, virtually the minimum required if you do not want to end up with squinty eyes after half an hour or so. Other features include a 1GB, 2GB or 4GB hard drive, an SD memory card slot, and DMB capability. The D2 measures a diminutive 78mm x 55.4mm x 16.6mm and weighs 91 grams. Battery life is excellent as usual for Cowon's standards, with the D2 clocking in 8 hours of non-stop DMB and 45 hours of audio. There is no word on pricing or availability.
