DigiMemo A402 digitizes ink
Let's face it - using pen and paper to write down notes and drawing diagrams are still the best way to go instead of carrying around a bulky tablet PC wherever you go. The DigiMemo A402 is a special device that comes with a unique pen and board that is capable of capturing everything written or drawn in ink in a digital format which can be transferred over to a PC at a later period. The 32MB of internal memory is capable of holding up to 160 pages of information, while plugging in an optional CF card will bump the memory total to 999 pages. The DigiMemo has a long battery life of 100 hours and features ease-of-use. Selwyn Electronics is currently carrying the DigiMemo A402 for £110.

It uses a special pen containing a small cell battery and transmitter, into which you put standard ballpoint pen refills. Nothing you write with an ordinary implement will be recorded - you must use the special pen; so you could sketch with pencil and fill in with the shipped pen.
