The Digital Private Eye video camera and recorder from Swann disguises itself like an alarm passive infra-red device, making its task of keeping an eye on the surrounding area without looking the part. It comes with a built-in motion detector that starts taking shots each time it is triggered, storing up to 30,000 images on a single 1GB SD card. The Digital Private Eye can be powered by a 9V battery or a power cable for 24-hour surveillance. Snapshots can be viewed by connecting the device to your PC via USB or just reading files off the SD card directly. This $199 security solution also doubles up as a web cam that can record video up to 30fps as well.
