EZ105 Small Wonder from RCA
Digital camcorders are not exactly the smallest consumer electronics available, but RCA has managed to take miniaturization to the next level with their EZ105 Small Wonder. The Small Wonder is a simple MPEG 4 point-and-shoot camcorder that can store up to an hour of video (half the amount if you want high quality clips) which can be transferred over to a computer for playback. Features of the EZ105 include a 1.5" LCD display so you know what you're shooting at this moment and an AV-out port which can be connected to a TV. Great for candid and impromptu shots, but it is unsuitable for important events like weddings. The EZ105 Small Wonder retails for $129 and is powered by a couple of AA batteries.

If you want to bypass the software, click on "My Computer" and right click and choose "Open". You're now looking at what's installed on the camera. To access the videos in the internal memory, click on the DCIM folder and the 100VIDEO folder and you can then cut and paste (to remove from camera) or copy and paste (to leave a copy on the camera) your videos into a folder on your computer. If you have a memory card with videos on it, close the Explorer window and with the camera still connected, press the red record button. Open "My Computer" and go to the same folder, as before, and you'll see those videos.

Nice camera, but dreadful support and buggy software!

RCA's drivers for Mac OS X (supplied on the USB drive) failed, so I tried contacting RCA Support. I'm afraid they rank among the worst I've encountered: no robot-email reply to acknowlegde receipt of the problem report, and no response at all yet from a human, either! My guess is that they're swamped with calls about the OS X bug, and RCA may not have prior experience dealing with software support.
On my Windows XP system everything works just fine. If you're using a Mac, however, beware!
