Nintendo launches official MP3 player
Posted on: November 21, 2006
Back in the days before there ever was an official MP3 player for the Nintendo DS, there existed the highly adaptable Play-Yan device that works on the DS as well as all versions of the Game Boy Advance. Nintendo has now launched its official MP3 player that comes along with a free 512MB SD card. Of course, you are more than welcome to use SD cards of a larger capacity, but be warned that it is not compatible with the new SDHC standard. This device is shaped like a GBA game cartridge, but unfortunately all it does is MP3 file playback with no support for video unlike the Play-Yan. There will be different skins available when the Nintendo MP3 player hits stores on December 8th next month at £20 a pop.
