Nokia could re-enter gaming market

Nokia is set to tackle the handheld gaming market yet again after the demise of its first two forays into this market that has been held by Nintendo's tight, vice-like grip ever since the Game Boy and Tetris combo swept all and sundry back in 1989. This third outing will consist of Series 60 3rd Edition smartphones, including games-specific software and optimized hardware. We could be looking at the possibility of a dedicated graphics chip within the handset itself, but this inclusion would greatly reduce battery life of the device. The advent of 3G connectivity will also usher in a new era of portable multiplayer gaming. More updates to come as new developments arise from Nokia.
