The human brain is a very funny thing, where it can be tricked into believing optical illusions with a little witchcraft - nah, we're kidding, all it takes are an understanding of the rules and knowing where and when to bend them. This is what the SpokePOV used, taking advantage of our "persistence of vision" feature to create images from 30 LEDs that are mounted on the spokes of your bike. You program a bitmap image using the included software, download it to the unit which is then fastened onto your bike. It requires to you ride at a minimum speed of 15mph in order to get an image. The entire SpokePOV kit costs a mere $37.50 which is much more affordable than the PimpStar rims.
