The DG-100 is a GPS data logger from GlobalSat that comes with an integrated SiRFStar III GPS chipset and is capable of capturing various information such as time, date, speed, altitude, and your present GPS location at pre-determined intervals. In order to download your track log, you must first install a Windows-based application. This software also enables you to export certain points into Google Earth and Google Maps for future reference. Powered by a couple of AA rechargeable batteries, the DG-100 is also suitable for use as a standard GPS receiver when hooked up with a notebook.
