Humane Electronic Crustacean Stunner

Humane Electronic Crustacean Stunner
We might not be aware of this, but the Kiwis (citizens of New Zealand for the geographically challenged) actually have real rules that require animals to be humanely killed for consumption, so you can forget about having some lamb chop after running a sheep down on the roads there. The Crustastun helps eases your conscience as it aims to reduce the stress level of the animal at death via a process called "decreased osmotic dilution". Do you think this is a whole load of hogwash, and nothing more than a marketing gimmick? Perhaps when shellfish go off to the Great Big Sea in the sky more peacefully, the meat left behind is more tender. Pricing details are still unknown. ( Add a comment)

Sorry if this post is spam, but... You could just as easily take a crab and put it in your toaster or cigarrete lighter.

This thing looks expensive.
And extremely un-power efficient.
And crabs can't sense "pain" anyway.

And I eat beef about every day. Go read "Fast food nation". It's... a good book.

I doubt we should make comments about this. We're f*cking americans. They're kiwis. Different opinions. Different cultures. We don't live in Australia.

I think the new electrocution devise is a great idea! Like most Americans, I am not an animal right's extremist, but I DO care about animal welfare. I am a sensitive person who is distressed by the suffering of others (both human and lower animals). If eating something means it has to be horribly tortured to death, I will not eat it (I stopped eating Lobster after seeing their suffering first hand). Scientist can say what they want, but the animal was obviously trying to escape it's torment (it sure looked in pain/distress). Anyway, now with the new devise, I can resume eating them without feeling guiltly. I will certainly buy this product if I can afford it. If not, I will only eat at restaurantes that use the devise.
