Wireless USB hub from Belkin
Dec 4, 06 06:39 PM PDT
A wireless USB hub? Am I missing something here? Apparently not, as Belkin will be releasing its wireless USB hub across the U.S. sometime in the middle of this month. Costing up to 10 times more than a regular 4-port wired USB 2.0 hub, this $199 device utilizes Ultra-Wideband (UWB) via a Wisair chipset that enables it to send data from your computer to other electronic items wirelessly with speeds peaking at USB 2.0 standards (480Mbps). This new technology will greatly ease the clutter and unsightly wires in any home or office, which would signal the death of many cable organizers. The only forseeable problem at this moment would be fluctuating data transfer speeds.
