High-tech shopping carts on the way
Posted on Jan 22, 07 08:58 PM PDT

Springboard Networks of Canada decided to bring a long awaited update to shopping carts by hooking up touchscreen LCD displays that offer more than just information of the items available in different aisles. You will also get a real-time readout of the amount of items piled inside the shopping cart so that you won't get a shock at the checkout line. This updated shopping cart is currently in its development stages, so it might be a few years away from reality. In the meantime, it would be best to stick with online grocery shopping or bring the family for a day-out instead.
