CES 2007 - Judging by the name of this computing peripheral from IOGear, you might think that the laser could kill a trespasser. Thankfully, it doesn't, as this mouse comes with a fingerprint reader instead. Special software shipped with the Personal Security Mouse enables you to create an encrypted virtual drive that requires your fingerprint before access is granted. This is great for you secretive types. In addition, it features Nano Shield Technology that prevents 99% of germs and bacteria from building a colony on your mouse. You can expect to see this mouse hit retail stores next month for $79.95 a pop.
Alvin Chan, the IOGear Account Manager for the Asia Pacific region informed me that all IOGear products released this year will come with Nano Shield Technology which is good news for those who are afraid of catching a bug from using somebody else's mouse or keyboard. I personally feel that it is more of a psychological issue than a health one. What do you guys think?
