LG VX9900 En-V hands-on
Jan 7, 07 01:28 AM PDT
CES Unveiled – I can’t look at a QWERTY phone without playing with it. The LG VX9900 named “en V” (for “envy”) is a phone that is used like a candy-bar when making voice calls, but when fast texting is needed, flip it open and use the large QWERTY keyboard along with the larger internal display. It has a 2MP camera with auto-focus and flash, support Bluetooth Stereo and can be extended with an SD card. It is surprisingly cheap with a $149.99 MSRP, making it a very eligible QWERTY phone.

The only way the text sent is received in code is if that other persons phone is capable of getting over 160 characters. Otherwise you can send up to 7 pages.

I keep texting alot, and if the message is over 160 symbols the person gets it in code. and it only holds 50 texts before it is full.

I've had this phone for almost a week and I absolutely LOVE it. I had an older LG phone for two years and the switch was very easy to make. The camera is really nice compared to most phones and I haven't had any problems so far.
And I doubt they'll read this, but for the person complaining about how it takes 11 keystrokes to lock the phone, if you open it up and hold down the x key it locks the phone FYI.

I've had mine for 1 month but i should have got a razor. It takes like 11 key strokes to lock this phone, thats nuts. The front display is kind-of small but tolerable. I wish the keys were more prominant on the front. Inside is nice though, quick and easy for text msgs. Nice qwerty keypad. Nice 2meg camera. But I can't get over that 11 key-stroke lock procedure.

this phone is very cool and i dont know if I should get it or the 9800. The 9800 has a very cool inside and the 9900 is very thin. The 9900's inside is kind of ugly and I dont know i the inside lighs up or not but I hope it does.I love the way the 9900's menu is because you can change it to different styles.I like the way the 9800's inside is because its blue.
