Mio DigiWalker C520 GPS Hands-On
Jan 11, 07 03:13 PM PDT

Mio, most known for its C310 and H610 GPS, was demonstrating its new Mio DigiWalker C520 in car GPS. Users will immediately notice the wide 4.3 inch display and the new sleek design that should better match your car interior when compared to the white Mio C310. It seems to use the same software than the H610 (which is fast and has anti-aliasing enabled) with the addition of Bluetooth connectivity to handle hands-free conversation and audio broadcasting.
The other cool new feature is the dual map display: 2/3 of the screen are used to display the immediate surrounding of the car while the remaining 1/3 displays text directions or an overall view of the route – great idea!

Why does the c520 shut-off screen while in-car charging? , can some one tell me how to charge while driving and be able to see the screen

Rick, just to be curious, what do you mean by inaccurate? Also for the battery life, how long does it last in your case? We could use the information for future tests. Thanks!

Recently purchased the c520; I really like the display and the handsfree bluetooth connectivity is great -- once it get to working. The only real problem I've found is the Mio's strange inclination to generate some truly odd-ball routes. It sucks up the battery juice too; find myself charging every night whether or not I use it.

I just purchased this for $350. Very accurate, nice display. Up-to-date maps...All GPS' should have the split screen feature. I haven't had time to try out the other video, MP3 and other features. This one is worth a look.

I found the Mio C520 a breeze to operate out of the box and worth its weight in gold on the road. The voice to text directions were extremeley accurate with almost no hiccups. The only downside was that the speaker when using the handsfree bluetooth for the phone was a bit sketchy, but liveable. Thanx
