SideShow arrives on desktops
Posted on Jan 24, 07 09:06 PM PDT

The SideShow feature that comes with every copy of Windows Vista has gotten everyone fired up, with various notebooks and even handbags integrating this feature already. Where does that leave those of us who prefer the raw computing power of a chunky desktop? Asus has a solution in the form of a mainboard combination which utilizes the Asus ScreenDUO to make your desktop SideShow-capable. Powered by a USB port, you are able to sync various SideShow-friendly information such as incoming e-mail and RSS feeds even if your computer is not turned on. This SideShow accessory was specifically designed to work with the P5B Premium mainboard, and there is a possibility of it working with other mainboards as well. Pricing and availability details are currently unknown. Looks like remaining connected at all costs is now a habit we cannot lose.
