160 GB Flash HDD by Adtron
With flash memory prices falling, we are starting to get very interesting flash-based HDD capacity. Adtron has a 160GB disk – a capacity that would be good enough for most users. Today, this is not a financially sound proposition to replace a standard hard drive by a solid-state. However, in certain extreme conditions (let’s say military) having a shock/vibration proof disk can be invaluable. In the future, consumers could have such disks that also have another quality: they are more energy-efficient than standard HDD.
