Canon Powershot SD1000 and SD750 Digital ELPH

The two new cameras will be on the shelves late in March 2007. Features of the SD1000 includes 7.1MP resolution, DIGIC III processor, Face Detection AF/AE/FE technology, 3x optical zoom, up to 1600 ISO and 2.5 inch LCD screen, the SD750 has a 3 inch LCD screen. The SD1000 sells for $300 and the SD750 for $350.

Can't help but I am so dissapointed that Canon dropped the image stabilizer on newer cameras, and went down from 10 mp (on the SD900) to 7.1 mp (on the SD1000/750), and from 4x optical zoom (SD700 IS) to 3x optical zoom (on all newer models). This is a big mistake!
