Chi Mei launches new full HD LCD TV

Chi Mei from Taiwan has recently announced that it will begin to ship units of its full HD (1080p) 42" LCD TV to both Taiwan and Europe. The rather convoluted model name, DTL-742E500, comes with panels supplied by Chi Mei Optoelectronics and features average specifications such as a contrast ratio of 1,200 to 1 and a brigthness of 500cd/m2. This full HD 42" LCD TV will fit nicely into those with a budget below the $2,000 mark as it comes with a $1,665 price tag.
