Classy Laptop: Samsung Aura
Feb 23, 07 02:40 AM PDT

Samsung has been a little behind in the U.S laptop market, but the Aura might shake things a little. This glossy-black laptop has a 14.1” display and can be powered by a Core 2 Duo or a Celeron processor, depending on your budget. I’m not sure what the base memory configuration is, but it is expandable to 4GB of RAM and 160GB of hard drive space – that’s plenty… for the next couple of years. The 5.2lbs aren’t all that much for a computer that big. Now that’d be really cool if the keyboard was backlit – I just don’t understand why most laptops don’t have a $5 more expensive backlit keyboard.

I think the lack of backlighting on the laptop is because Apple has a patent on it, and probably isn't interested in licencing the patent.
