Hybrid mirror-glass developed

Having some natural warmth during winter is always nice, but whenever summer rolls around, it is best to stay out of the sun lest you pick up more than a tan. Japanese scientists have succeeded in creating a kind of switchable glass that alternates itself as a clear, transparent piece of glass or a mirror. Whenever the sun gets too hot, this special material is infused with some oxygen to turn it into a mirror, and hence preventing the building from getting any hotter. Should you want to get more natural light in, just infuse some hydrogen and you get crystal clear glass, helping you lower your energy costs by an estimated 30%. Pretty neat idea, but will it take off in terms of art? I know of many glass buildings that look their best when they’re just glass, no matter the season.
