K.I.S.S. applied to Battery Converter

Simplicity is often overlooked, but at times, simple ideas are capable of achieving what would otherwise be a costly solution. Take the much circulated e-mail of NASA spending millions in research on a pen that could be used to write in space without the ink ending up in a blob, while the Russian cosmonauts used a pencil instead. Brando is now offering this Battery Converter that gives you an instant D-sized battery when you need it the most by plonking down a single AA battery instead. Of course, the capacity won't be as much as a standard D battery, but if you really need a wee bit of power at that instant, this $5 gadget might just come in handy.
