Shabbatphone for Israeli army
Jews are very particular in keeping the Sabbath holy, and they aren't supposed to do any work at all on that holy day. Even making a phone call under situations that do not involve life and death is prohibited even in the army, which is why the Shabbatphone was developed to get around this legalistic loophole. The device makes and receives calls in an indirect manner, ensuring the person using the phone was not directly closing any electrical circuits, hence making the phone conversation kosher. What do you think about this? Future developments that involve voice activated phone calls will definitely turn this law upside down as everyone chats away on the Sabbath.

Ah, yes....
Using silicon technology to cater to stoneage mythology. Just admit that the shabbot is a quaint, historical vestige, and get on with living 1/7th of your life more effectively.

Loopholes! The Shabbat is not about what you can't do (there is plenty you can't), but about what you should be doing, disconnect from the weekday rush and think about god! I'm sure that the more religious jews will not take to these loopholes.
