Umbrella that predicts the weather
Posted on Feb 5, 07 11:57 PM PDT

Talk about a smart umbrella - this unique umbrella is capable of reminding you that the ominous-looking clouds above are about to burst at their seams to unleash a torrent of water by simply glowing at the handle. This is made possible by the integrated wireless data-radio chip inside the umbrella itself that tunes into Accuweather.com to pick up your area's weather forecast. The rate of pulsating determines the probability of rain - if it is left on all the time, that means you definitely have to meet a downpower later on. A 60% probability results in a single pulse each second, and so forth. There is no word on pricing or availability of the Ambient Forecasting Umbrella.

Well isn't this clever. An umbrella that suggests the possibilty of rain. I don't know about you, but I never go for my umbrella unless I believe rain is a possibility in the first place. Why do I need it to tell me what I already suspected? Just dumb.
