Amber Alert USB drive for kids

Published on03/ 9/07

AMBER Alert is proposing the idea of using a Kingston USB drive to store information of your child, ranging from biographical data, vital statistics, relatives, his/her frequent haunts, to favorite websites in a single device. Known as the AMBER Alert Child ID Kit, I can't quite help but think this is eerily too similar to the Micro I.D. Rescue Collar. Each USB drive retails for $29.95 and is good for one child (d-uh!). The information within is password protected, but whether it is encrypted or not is another matter altogether. You definitely don't want this to fall into the wrong hands, especially those who prey on children.
