Ambisound HTS8100 out soon
Posted on Mar 4, 07 06:05 PM PDT

The HTS8100 from Philips features a mouth watering design that will definitely appeal to the mass market. It was especially designed to be placed just below your wall-mounted LCD TV or plasma display, complementing the entire high-tech look in your pad. The glossy piano black chassis hides a DVD player, an amplifier, and a set of surround sound speakers to up the ante when it comes to home entertainment. Too bad they did not include a High Definition disc player inside as that would surely sweeten the deal. The Ambisound HTS8100 will retail for approximately $999 when it is released in Q2 2007.

Philips HTS8100? Don't buy it. Firstly, it is not compatible with Sony Bravia via HTMI. Even you use component connection, the picture quality is very poor. The sound is thin and the design of the product make positioning very inflexible. Try DENON S302, it is far more advanced.
