Asus A626 PDA outslims everyone
We know for a long time now that slim is in, but Asus has pushed the envelope even further by introducing the A626 PDA. While you won't be able to make any phone calls with the A626, what it does it keep track of your everyday appointments in a sleek and sexy body. Measuring a mere 1.5cm in thickness, you get a 3.5" anti-glare touchscreen display in addition to WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. All these are powered by an Intel 312MHz processor, which should be sufficient for simple task keeping purposes. It won't run on the latest Windows Mobile OS though, carrying only Windows Mobile 5.0. Pricing details are still unknown.

I got one for Christmas to replace my aging Axim X5A, and I love it!! One thing, though - the one I got from Dell has WM6 classic, not 5. VERY nice unit.

I just received my new A626 from Dell and let me tell you it is awesome!!! I have been using Pocket PC's since their inception and this one has the brightest and most colorful display I have ever seen. I run the level on 50% and it is still brighter than an HP hx4700 on full brightness. Some other tidbits, even though the specs say it has 128mb of flash it actually comes with 256mb of which almost 200mb is available for storage. There is about 36mb of RAM available to run programs. It only has a 312Mhz processor but it is very quick. The battery life is phenominal even though it only has a 1200 Mah battery. It comes with 802.11 b and g and the latest version of Bluetooth 2.0. For the price there isn't a more complete solution out there. This is a very basic Pocket PC but it is the best I have ever used.
