Figla robot vaccum cleaner
Posted on Mar 23, 07 01:09 AM PDT

The Figla vacuum cleaner comes with a whole array of sensors that help it perform its task much better than your average teen. The sensors used to aid the Figla as it goes about its tasks include infrared, gyro, ultrasonic, and a simple digital camera. It is capable of detecting rubbish while judging uneven surfaces and obstacles, but I guess it is a long way off from performing better than your experienced street sweeper. The Figla runs on two power modes - economy and half full that offer a battery life of 1 and 2 hours respectively. It can clean up to 1,000 square meters within an hour - hopefully it won't get kidnapped by unscrupulous people while on the job who then sell it off part by part.
