HD DVD triple layer now like ice cream
Blu-ray proponents have always crowed about the superior capacity over HD DVD discs, but that argument can be thrown out of the window now. Toshiba has successfully developed a triple-layer HD DVD disc, holding up to 51GB of data. This makes HD DVD the winner in the capacity race now since Blu-ray can only hold 50GB worth of data. I personally think that 50GB is already way too much space to hold data for the next few years, and with hybrid players being released, the High Definition format war is largely a non-issue. When will the madness stop?

toshiba just announced that this is not true. also, a 4 layer 100GB blu-ray disk is in the works.

it is an issue to me when I want to watch videos in HD but can't decide which player to buy....I don't want to be that guy who bought the Laserdiscs and now feels like a fool!
