Motorola moves on to rugged laptops

Motorola has already proven itself capable of constructing some rather tough electronics with its line of iDEN phones, and are now moving into the portable computing field with the MW810 and ML910 laptops that offer a similar toughness at the very least. Motorola has even thrown in an internal heating mechanism that warms up the hard drive, enabling users to use either laptop despite the freezing cold around. Additional specifications include a weather-resistant casing, an integrated GPS chipset, and Bluetooth connectivity. Anyone thinking of embarking on a trip to the Antartic ought to give the MW810 and MP910 some serious consideration. There is no word on pricing or availability.
