Nikon D40 receives upgrade

Nikon engineers sure are fast when it comes to patching up their latest cameras. Take the D40 for instance - not too long after its release, we now have the D40X that features some minor but important upgrades (to the serious shutterbug anyway). Some of the newer upgrades on this 10.2 megapixel DSLR includes faster continuous shooting, a wider ISO sensitivity, and the "Retouch" menu that enables one to improve red-eye, contrast, and color issues on-the-fly without resorting to a computer. Serious camera enthusiasts in the U.S. will be able to pick up the D40X kit sometime next month for $799, a cool $200 more than the current 6 megapixel D40 kit.
