Sidekick ID in the pipeline

Remember the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 that came with everything but the kitchen sink? For those who loved the cellphone but could not afford one and do not need all the features packed inside will be pleased to know that a slimmed down version is currently in the works. Known as the Sidekick ID, this barebones handset will drop the Bluetooth connection, MP3 playback, digital camera, and microSD expansion slot, hence making it possible to sport a smaller girth. I suppose if you want a pure messaging and basic communications tool, you can't really go wrong with the $150 Sidekick ID. Photo courtesy of CrunchGear.

Guys please. Sidekick I'd, sidekick 2, sidekick 3, and the others are all the same. Who care if sidekick 3 has a camera. Um I have a camera phone I could send pics to my sidekick I'd. But sidekick I'd doesn't have mp3? Um I have a freakin ipod. So who cares what sidekick yah guys have all of them are the same, cheap or expensive doesn't matter. You guys talk non sense.

dude, sidekick ids are 50 bucks, I didnt buy one cause I was poor, i baught one because I have an Ipod nano and a great camera. Plus, i used the rest of my money on puff puff other things haha

I hate how people who keep bashing the skid itz freakin awsome. The skid is 4 ppl who dont need a crappy camera , and mp3. it has lots of internal memory an can hold a signal better than a 3 n 2. i bought it 4 the sole purpose of txt. BUY the skid it will be the decision u eva made

i love this phone it has internet and let me teel you guys somethin guys something if you go to menue and click on settings scroll down to sidekick id credits and the click on menue then shift then 8 all at the same time.by enveryone if you read this you shoulf get this phone its really cool phone if you stsrt to play around with the flip screen it will break like if you give it to a6 year old they wont know how to open the phone and they will just snap off the screen and your phone will likwe brak down so i hope if you read this that you will get thise phone and tell all of your friends to buy the sidekick id its only 99 bucks now thats a great price for a price like this i mean common dude

I brought the SKid and I think it's awesome. For those who keep bitching and complaing about the damn camera and mp3 player go out and buy a camera and an ipod. It's fricken 2007 why dont you already have a digital camera and an ipod, get with the times. But any who I didnt come on here to bash those who dont like it (even though you guys are carzy if you dont) but simply to tell anyone who is looking into buying the SKid to go for it! The phone is wonderful, and it only $50.00, u can't get a better buy!!!

i think this phone is great cuz its 50 bucks...and i have already got a digitaL camera and a nano so who needs all those extra pheatres anyway? the camera on the sk3 was nothing to brag about, on the skid...the internet is way faster then the sk3 and who needs bluetooth! i am getting one

the internet on my SKiD is much faster then the one on my SK3... so thats better and yea i have to agree with the SK3 camera sucks!!! so its no like you really need that. And for the other feature, i have an iPod so dnt need an mp3 playa on my fone!! i love the sidekick iD

This fone is fine there's no need to have a shyt camera if u got a nice one at home I wish it had mp3 but I personally have tried and disliked the whole bluetooth idea

My fam has d-wade and a sk2 coture as well as the id, camearas in the Sk's suck any way, don't use the blutooth on the d-wade my daughter uses the heck out of her id and she has never mentioned not being able to not take a oic or even wanting to, she was on sk2, fo about 6 months and she may have used camera 2x..
id is ok in my book.
ps umm "skula" yer frekin whack have you checked out data plans at sprint or verizon.. phones may be expensive but t-mo's rates blow the others away, 6 months down the road your way ahead of the others. You need to think long run not up front cost ya cheap skate. They all want yer money! It's just who gets the least of your money in the long run with the best service...

i have a sidekick 2 and its realy great even though i dont use the internet, i still text alot and take pics. i think the skid is a good idea because its cheaper and i couldnt even afford my sk2 i had to buy it off ebay and the price of the skid is not bad

its the sidekick 3 without the stupid extras. the only thing that even resembles the sidekick 2 is the way the menu, cancel, done, and jump buttons are positioned on the phone. check your information before you talk bad about something. thanks 4 reading! bye >=[

I just got the Sidekick iD yesterday, and I love it :o) It doesnt really matter that it doesnt have a camera becuz u can e-mail ANY pics from a PC that u want to the phone and assign them to contacts, instead of having to use dark, fuzzy pics that a phone takes. Its also great surfing the internet and reading e-mail while I'm at work and bored out of my mind. I mainly use a phone for minimal calls and plenty of texting so this phone is great, with internet browsing/e-mail as a great bonus :oD

I think the Sidekick ID is great idea.
Unlike, the Sk3 it doesnt include a camera, mp3 player, and bluetooth, but not everybody wants that. I mean this phone is great for somebody who already has an iPod and digital camera.
Why buy something double the price when you already have some of the features on it at home!
This phone is fun , and im thinking about getting one myself.
By the way, the sidekick iD isnt a "fake" it is made by the same company that made all of the other sidekicks, just because it is not costly doesnt mean that it is low quality.

LOL! Okay, I already had the original SK3 then i went out and got the limited edition d wade sk3 last month..but this...this is hilarious. I guess people should be able to have a pda or sk for a decent price but common. ITS NOT THE REAL THING. They cant even call it a sidekick 3 lol they callin it the "sidekick ID" to me its a fake...i can't lie. LIKE AN IMITATION OF SIDEKICKS. When i see someone with one of these i will let them know that they are NOT up on the REAL THING. As far as the bluetooth device on my sk3, i use it. Obviously it allows me to be hands free so I can do it alot while talking on the phone: email, text etc all while talkin on the phone.
