Sunglass goes chameleon

Ever wished you had a pair of Chameleon Sunglasses that are capable of changing color on demand almost instantly to match whatever color you're wearing at the moment? Each pair comes with an electrochromic polymer that can change the level of darkness and color in the presence of an electric current at the push of a button. The prototype is currently powered by a single watch battery that can last thousands of transitions before a replacement is required. Too bad the masses have to wait for at least a couple more years before a commercial release is possible. I suppose the Chameleon Sunglasses will be able to handle single or two-toned clothing with ease, but let Elton John wear one and it will probably spontaneously combust ;) ( Add a comment)
