World Travel Adapter for globetrotters
Posted on Mar 20, 07 07:03 PM PDT

Globetrotters ought to find the World Travel Adapter to be an indispensable tool in their traveling arsenal, as it is capable of translating the "normal" plug of your device to that which can fit into the local wall outlet. This means you can head off to Tokyo from Zurich in a single day without picking up different adapters for the same device, ensuring your plethora of devices are kept charged no matter where they are. There is no word no how much the World Travel Adapter from Swiss Travel Products cost, but we do know that it has a range from maximum 275W at 110 Voltage to 550W output at 220 Voltage.

I bought one of these with the USB adapter (i.e. fit the USB adapter on end and it charges your USB devices like iPod or Blackberry). Fabulous device with one major flaw. If you use the earthed European plugs (the big, cylindrical, chunky ones with the large power pins), it will not fit into the adapter. This is a big downside for world travellers. Try before you buy.
