Dell laptops get 250GB hard drive
Published on 04/11/2007

Dell would be first off the blocks when it comes to offering 250GB 2.5" hard drives that spin at 5400 RPM in their laptops, if evidence at the configuration pages of selected Alienware Aurora and Dell XPS notebooks are anything to go by. These nwe hard drives take advantage of the SATA interface and come with 8MB of cace memory. There is no word on who supplies Dell with these hard drives, but does it really matter? Looks like portable storage in laptops have finally caught up with desktops. Unless you're a hardcore BitTorrent fan or dabble with video editing, I find it pretty hard to fill up a 250GB hard drive with just everyday office work.
