DS Lite runs on solar power
Posted on Apr 1, 07 10:42 PM PDT

We covered the solar-powered Wii last month, and now we have a solar-powered Nintendo DS Lite from the same folks at Tom's Hardware Guide. Some of the items you need before you begin would be a Nintendo DS Lite (duh!), a solar power charger, a DS cart, some accessories, spray paint, metal latch, and glue to get started. All you need to do is modify the solar power charger and hook it up directly to the DS Lite's battery charger cable. Use the spray paint according to your own creative streak and you're good to go. Will this idea spark off other types of Boktai-class games that was quite a hit on the GBA? It takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge the DS, which ain't too shabby at all.
