Eco-friendly moped from Holland
Dutch company From the Supermarket have recently made available the Toni Electroni moped that is eco-friendly since it does not run on gas, using electricity as the preferred fuel of choice. Since there is no petrol or diesel engine to speak of, the Toni Electroni zips along sidewalks in near silence. The manufacturers claim that this electric-powered moped works great at hill-starts since there is no delay of a petrol engine, and the feeling evoked when riding one is the equivalent of skiing on land. The Toni Electroni moped comes with a 2.2Kw engine and features WiFi connectivity and an iPod dock to keep you entertained on your short travels.

beside the iPod dock, electric scooters (yup this is a scooter not a moped) have been around for quite a while... i owned one myself, an import from China, and it was indeed nice, silent, had a lot of torque, but crappy range. Such a thing is only good for taking you to work and back (if the distance is under 15km, of course)
